Ioannis Giannakis

Naval Architect


Ioannis Giannakis has extensive practical 20 years experience covering the areas of floating-docks/floating-cranes/split-barges/tugboats design, construction, rebuilt, conversion,surveys and operation, shipbuilding methods and management.

Participation in Special projects as Technical Consultant and Surveyor in the field of Port Facilities and Underwater Projects, as well as in many shipwreck removal as head of technical investigation department.

 

Angelos Marinellis

Marine Engineer

 

Angelos Marinellis is an experienced Marine Engineer with a solid 10-year background in the field.

He is skilled in various aspects of marine engineering and safety, holding certifications as an ISM auditor, and a Designated Person Ashore (DPA). His expertise also includes quality management as an ISO 9001 auditor.

Angelos has provided insurance consulting for ships and maritime industries and has worked as a Safety Engineer in shipyards, focusing on safety and compliance.

Additionally, he has experience as a Flag Assistant Surveyor, overseeing maritime regulations and vessel standards. Angelos’s skills are further highlighted by his work with Navitest, where he has conducted dynamometric tests such as bollard pulls and crane load tests.

 

Christos Georgousopoulos

BSc Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Msc, N.T.U.A., MBA

 

Christos Georgousopoulos was as Flag State Surveyor at Department of shipbuilding inspections .

He was the Head of this Department, except some intervals during which he was the deputy Head. He had been involved for more than 20 years in various surveys (annual, renewal, intermediate, unscheduled) of Greek flagged and foreign vessels of various types. He was participated as Ministry of Mercantile Marine representative in various meeting held at IMO and EU premises.

He was member of the Merchant Ships’ Inspection General Directorate’s experts’ team for the Type Rating Certificate of High Speed Crafts’ officers and the issuance of the Permit to Operate for said crafts. He was permanent member of the Technical Council of Ministry of Mercantile Marine.

Further to the above, Christos has served as Naval Architect and Fleet Superintendent Engineer with basic responsibilities were the preparation and supervision of repairs and dry dockings of company’s fleet, the surveillance and enforcement, on all company’s vessels of new Rules and Regulations coming into force from Classification Societies, Coast Guards and various International Maritime Organizations.

Also, he was responsible for the supervision of quality of bunkers supplied company’s fleet and for the claims arised due to disputed fuels’ quality/quantity. Presently, Christos offers Technical Advice and Consulting on engineering matters, investigating complex machinery failures, as well as steel construction inspections and surveys (new building and conversion).

 

Thanasis Soldatos

BSc Naval Architecture

 

Thanasis Soldatos having served as Superintendent Engineer assistant on a shipping company with basic responsibilities were the preparation and supervision of repairs and dry dockings of company’s fleet, the surveillance and enforcement, on all company’s vessels of new Rules and Regulations coming into force from Classification Societies, Coast Guards and various International Maritime Organizations.
 
He has occupied with pre purchase surveys on all new company’s fleet vessels. He had been involved in various dry dockings especially in marine engines repairs and maintenance as technical coordinator.
 
Presently, Thanassis offers Technical Advice and Consulting on engine repairs and maintenance , recondition and supplying of engine parts, as well as vessels dry-docking preparations. Also, occupied on damage investigations and issuance of claim reports.

George Soldatos

BSc Naval Architecture

George Soldatos having served in Midia shipyards on Romania at technical department.

He has been involved in several repairs / conversion projects as technical coordinator as well as Quality control manager assistant on welding department taking over responsibilities of steel preparation and welding procedures inspection.

He completed many damage survey reports in care of shipping companies as an external partner for claim purposes. He has occupied on several designs and studies for new building several boats type, as well as surveyor of boats construction.

Presently, George offers Technical Advice and Consulting on steel constructions / repairs , damage investigations and issuance of damage survey and work completion reports.

 

Evangelos Papakonstantinou,

BSc, MSc Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering

 

Participation more than 15 years in the design and construction of several GRP , steel boats and ferries.

He was member of the superintendence team during the design , studies and construction. He has experienced on Finite Element Analysis and Fatigue Design Assessment studies for several projects, as well as having involved as engineer at the Research & Development Departments, mainly involved with Rule Development, Plan Approval – Hull, FEA methods and research projects.

Having also occupy at ‘’National technical university of Athens’’ as assistant professor on ‘’Nautical and marine Hydrodynamics’’ lab. Presently, Evaggelos offers Technical Advice and Consulting on GRP and steel boats constructions and conversion as well as damage survey for GRP boats failures.
